I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Golnick and his staff. I have had chronic cluster headaches my entire life. He truly gave me back my life. I only wish I would've gone to him years ago. I have been seeing Dr. Golnick for over 10 years. Before, I saw a litany of health care professionals who had written off my symptoms as being caused by age or just non-existent. Dr. Golnick and his staff took the time, approximately 3 hours in total on the first visit, to listen to and examine me. He conducted and ordered a myriad of tests, finally accurately diagnosing me with Migraines, Epilepsy, Fibromuscular Dysplasia, and Thyroid Cancer. If it were not for his relentless search for the cause of my problems, I probably would not be here today, as my cancer was paraneoplastic and went undiagnosed even after other doctors conducted multiple blood tests and thyroid nodule biopsies. If you want a neurologist who will spend time with you, analyze every detail of your life, this is the neurologist for you. Being in private practice allows him to take the time he needs to get to know each patient. And as far as supplements, he does not "sell or peddle" any herbal supplements. There is a vitamin, Dolovent, he recommends for his migraine suffers, that you can purchase on Amazon. The vitamin is specifically formulated for migraine management, but you do not purchase it through him. He suggested it to me, I purchased it on Amazon, and it seems to be helping to keep my migraines controlled. So not sure what Shelley is talking about, but in the 10 plus years I have been his patient, he has never been an herbal supplement pusher! He is, however, very open minded, and if something works for a patient, he isn't going to dismiss it. The staff are equally wonderful and have been with him for years. I hope he never retires!
